JULY WEEKEND FIELD HOCKEY SCRIMMAGE CAMPS

Our July weekend camps will cover stick skills and hitting, followed by small team and big team game play. The last full hour of the each day is scrimmaging. Players will be placed in their respective age/skill groups. The goal is to provide a lot of competitive playing time and to have fun!

Dates & Times: 9am-11am

Camp 1: July 11 & 12

Camp 2: July 18 & 19

Location: Ghilotti Turf Field, Redwood High School

Grades: incoming 6th - 10th grade

JULY FIELD HOCKEY WEEKDAY CAMP + POOL TIME & AFTERNOON GAMES!

Join us for a SUPER FUN all day camp for incoming 1st-9th grade athletes. Field hockey skills and games in the morning and fun activities in the afternoon (capture the flag, kickball, crafts, etc). Lunch + relaxing pool time before the afternoon session. Pool time will be at the Redwood high school pool with certified lifeguards on duty.

Daily camp schedule: 9am-11am field hockey // 11am-11:30am lunch // 11:30pm-1:30pm swim  // 1:30pm-3pm afternoon fun time 

Dates & Time: Week of July 20th - 9am-3pm - Monday-Thursday

AUGUST 

Rippers is offering a 3-day August field hockey camp. The camp is open to incoming 1st-12th graders and players will be placed in their respective age/skill groups. This camp is a great way for incoming freshmen and returning high school players to get ready for their school preseasons and tryouts, which start the following week. For elementary and middle school players, it's a great way to introduce players to the sport and prepare them for our Rippers 2026 Fall Club Season. The camp will cover all aspects of the sport, including skills and strategy development along with plenty of scrimmage time.

Dates: 7/31, 8/1, 8/2

Times: 9am-12pm

Location: Ghilotti Turf Field, Redwood High School

Grades: incoming 1st-12th grade

Cost: $335

*If you can only attend part of the camp, we can prorate your fee. For example, we can prorate it to be a 2 day camp. Please email us BEFORE registering to get a promo code - do not ask for a pro-rated refund after registeration as this impacts operation decisions.

Current USA Field Hockey Membership Required for All Players:

All players must be members of the USA Field Hockey Association in order to participate in practices and non-USFHA sponsored local tournaments. You may either purchase a USA Field Hockey Membership directly from the USFHA (select "Golden Gate Rippers" as your club affiliation). Or you may purchase your annual USFHA membership through Rippers for $10 during registration through the USFHA club support program. Memberships last for one year. 

Required Equipment

• ALL players MUST have a mouthguard AND shin guards – field hockey shin guards are recommended (soccer ones acceptable for younger players) or they will NOT be allowed to participate
• Field hockey loaner sticks and balls will be available for use, but we recommend players have their own stick
• Goalie equipment is available to use for interested players
• Running shoes, turf shoes or cleats are acceptable footwear, though turf shoes are the best (note some tournaments do not allow cleats due to their type of turf)
