Summer Camps

Summer 2025 

JULY 

Rippers is having to work around the reconstruction of Ghilotti Field this summer. Our July camp will take place at Tam High School Football Field. It is open to incoming 3-9th graders. Players will be placed in their respective age/skill groups. The first half of practice will cover stick skills and drills, followed by scrimmages. The goal is to provide a lot of competitive playing time to prepare players for game play and to have fun!

Dates: 

• July 11& 12 - Session 1
• July 18 & 19 - Session 2

Time: 9:30am-12pm

Location: Tamalpais High School Football Field

Grades: incoming 3rd-9th

Cost per session: $200

AUGUST 

Rippers is offering a 3-day August field hockey camp. The camp is open to K-12th graders and players will be placed in their respective age/skill groups. This camp is a great way for incoming freshmen and returning high school players to get ready for their school preseasons and tryouts, which start the following week. For elementary and middle school players, it's a great way to introduce players to the sport and prepare them for our Rippers 2025 Fall Club Season. The camp will cover all aspects of the sport, including skills and strategy development along with plenty of scrimmage time.

Dates: August 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Times:

• Incoming - K-5th graders 9am-11am
• Incoming 6-8th graders 8am-11am
• Incoming 9th graders - 8am-11am
• Incoming 10th-12th graders - 11am-2pm

Location: Ghilotti Turf Field, Redwood High School (*If Ghilotti Turf is not finished construction by August, the camp will be moved to a different field)

Cost:

• Grades K-5 - $225
• Grades 6-12 - $335

*If you can only attend part of the camp, we can prorate your fee. For example, we can prorate it to be a 2 day camp. Please email us BEFORE registering to get a promo code - do not ask for a pro-rated refund after registeration as this impacts operation decisions.

Current USA Field Hockey Membership Required for All Players:

Due to insurance requirements, all players must be members of the USA Field Hockey Association in order to participate in practices and non-USFHA sponsored local tournaments. You may either purchase a USA Field Hockey Membership directly from the USFHA (select "Golden Gate Rippers" as your club affiliation). Or you may purchase your annual USFHA membership through Rippers for $10 during registration through the USFHA club support program. Memberships last for one year. 

Required Equipment

• ALL players MUST have a mouthguard AND shin guards – field hockey shin guards are recommended (soccer ones acceptable for younger players) or they will NOT be allowed to participate
• Field hockey loaner sticks and balls will be available for use, but we recommend players have their own stick
• Goalie equipment is available to use for interested players
• Running shoes, turf shoes or cleats are acceptable footwear (note some tournaments do not allow cleats due to their type of turf
